"The one thing in life that is sure is
death." There are many times in life where we have to
face the thought of death, and it can be very difficult. Maybe
someone close to you has died. Maybe not a person, but a pet,
or a TV character. Maybe you have a fear of death. Maybe you
have a terminal illness.
Death is not something we see or speak about much in our society,
it tends to be hidden away, dealt with by 'the professionals'
- doctors, nurses, funeral directors, etc. So when questions
arise for us around death, we often feel very unprepared and
don't know how to cope with them. It can help to talk about
it, and who to talk to will depend on what you want to talk
about, but don't be afraid to voice your worries and fears,
they are very natural. It can also help to inform yourself
more about various aspects of death and dying.
